Highly effective antibiotic used widely in Europe.
After a while, in some people, using it alone has caused some new sensitivity
to certain other drugs that they were once resistant to.
Aerosolized colistin sodium may be a useful therapy to promote emergence
of sensitive microbes in CF candidates with pan-resistant isolates of Pseudomonas
(PA).
No bad smell or taste; the taste for a second is like butterscotch.
PA does not appear to become resistant to this class of antibiotics.

powder is completely dissolved. Let the bottle sit for a while, to let the
foam settle, before nebulizing. (Info updated Jan. 20, 2008)
